It is 3:30 on Friday. Week 8 of the semester from heck is done. I had four interviews, three exams, a paper, and a presentation this week. Lets see, 4 + 3 + 1 + 1 = 9. Yup, thats about the number of hours of sleep I got between Sunday and Thursday.

So, all I ever do on this thing is complain, which is fun, but I actually have some good news this week. Wednesday night, I checked my voice mail and heard something really awesome: I have been asked to come to a company for second interviews next week. This is an incredibly welcome step in the right direction, and it is a company that I could see myself working at for quite a while.

The big 'second interview' details are still a little sketchy, but it looks like I'll be driving towards Cincinnati or another city a bit east of Bloomington next Friday.

I still have three projects to complete for my X420 Career Planning class, but I have gone to enough of the lecture/discussion sections that I no longer need to attend them this semester! So, I celebrated yesterday by going to the early A312 (Financial Accounting) class and then coming home at the much more reasonable 4:00 rather than the typical 5:30 or 6:00 I typically get home.

This gave me the chance to take some shirts to the dry cleaners and pick up a pair of suit-pants at the store. Since the Cubs were just starting the top of the ninth inning when I was done, I decided to go on a drive and finish listening to the game. Well, I ended up getting 'lost' somewhere in the Bloomington area. But, I got home about 10 minutes after the game was over.

The weather has been beautiful the last two days, which was one of the reasons I went for a drive. Today I spent about 30 minutes sitting on the rocks by the Jordan River bridge by the IMU. Its about 55 degrees out, sunny, and beautiful. Spring looks like it is coming!

Well, as the post title alludes to, I am halfway done with my semester from the netherworlds. I know this sounds stupid, but I think the worst part is behind me... if I get everything done this weekend that I have on my to-do list. So, I am gonna start being productive and get all this stuff done before spring break!
